Answers:
hello! i know your struggle!. i myself have suffered from acne for the past 2 years!. i'm just now getting it under control!. i can only offer you things that have worked for myself!.!.but i'm sure it can help you as well!. i got so frusterated with my skin, as well as the comments from friends, family and my own husband! (it's embarrassing)!. So i decided to take a deeper look into my lifestyle, eating habits and take control! i just wanted to tell you this so you know the advice is comming from some who understands!

so here goes:
#1!. water in take! huge! pure water or maybe water with fresh lemon (the lemon helps detoxify the liver and aids in digestion)
you should at least consume half your body wt!. in fluid oz!a day example( if your 120lbs, then 60 oz of water which is about 3 liters!.) i know it sounds like a lot but you will get used to it!. start out m=by making a goal to keep a liter size bottle with you all day!.!. keep a record of your daily intake!. water helps to eliminate toxins, as well as keeps the skin hydrated!. (body wt, divided by 2= oz of water)
#2 Get plenty of sleep! at least 6-8 hours of quality sleeo per night!. try to also get to bed at a decent hour before 11! if you stay up too late this causes a physiological stress on the body!.
#3!. Cut out all simple sugars from your diet for at least 14 days: white flour, white sugar, milk, juices, white starch, of course candy, cookies, etc!.!. overall you willl want to cut all of these out of your diet, once an awhile is fine!. the 14 days however will allow your body to "calm down" and help you to recognize what may be causing your flare ups!. Also keep a log of your daily meals and make notes of your skin quality!.
* I am adding all these details because you said that " i'll have a week where it's calm and under control, and then it looks like a merciless dog attacked my face"!.!. so it is just a suggestion to get involved with monitoring what you put in your body!.
#4!. Get adequate exercise!. maybe 3 days a wk or so!. it can be anything you enjoy!. cardio, hiking, swimming, weight trainig, walking, yoga etc!. this will help to release stress, toxins, as well as circulation!.
#5!. Balanced diet! Always eat a breakfast, that has some protein and carbs!. never skip meals!. breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack if needed!.
#6 Cut down on any caffeinated drinks or completely eliminate them!

Also, google!.!. Dr!. Sandra Cabbot aka The Liver Dr!. She has some great easy to read books that i have used to help me!. i have now been acne free for 4 mos!. i have followed everything i have given you and it has been working great! good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com

>>Proactive is good, I used this when my acne was bad and it cleared it up great!.
>>See a dermatologist
>>Dove soap and Clean and Clear acne control cream!. Wash your face with the dove soap and rinse it, then apply the clean and clear to your acne!.!.!.Rinse your face after you apply the soap, don't use a wash cloth and if you do use a white wash cloth!. --I did this after I stopped using proactive and it keeps my acne under control quite well
>>Don't drink soda
>>Drink a lot of water
>>Eat Healthy

I've had acne for about three years and am now on oral medication as well as face cream prescribed by my dermatologist!. Most generic acne creams had no long-term affect on my skin as the acne kept coming back!. I would highly suggest going to your dermatologist, but here are some other suggestions to do on a daily basis:
-get a decent amount of sunshine (but don't get burnt!)
-eat healthy foods and limit your intake of foods with excessive amounts of sugar and grease
-don't scrub your face excessively; your face needs some natural oil
-try to avoid touching your face
-drink plenty of water, as alwaysWww@Answer-Health@Com
