Question: My wife is a leukemia patient and is it safe for her to have sex with me!?
She has not started any chemoteraphy or any treatment yet,just diagnosed with the disease!.will i be in anyway hurt her!?What should i do or should not do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to know what her blood counts are!. If her platelet count is low, you should not because of bleeding risk!. During sex even between healthy people with plenty of lubrication, the friction will cause tiny tears!. If her platelet counts are too low, these tears will bleed, and they could bleed a lot!.
And then, what is her absolute neutrophil count!? Its a part of her white blood count!. If that is too low, she is very susceptable to infections!. Now, being a married couple I am sure you would be aware of any veneral disease she may have, but thats not all you need to worry about!. Anything that is inserted into the vagina needs to be cleaned!. So, make sure your penis, fingers or anything else used are clean!. Condoms are actually recomended to help protect against bacterial infections!. Those same tiny tears that may bleed, can also get infected!.
Anal sex needs to be even more cautious of the blood counts!. The anus and rectum will receive more tearing during penetration, which is risk for more bleeding and more infection!. If you switch between anal and vaginal, stop, and clean!.
Also, you need to be careful of pregnancy!. I dont know about chronic, but an acute leukemia patient would not live long enough, nor would her body support or fetus tolerate her cancer or the treatment!. A pregnancy right now would end with a decision to terminate or die herself!.

Leukemia is not a contagious disease, which means you can very well have sex with her on that count!. The question, however, is whether she wants to have sex!? I'm sure you are asking this question because your wife, who finds solace in you, wants to return the favor by gratifying you, but weigh the situation properly and decide if it'll be ok for her health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
