Answers:
what you are experiencing is normal, your lungs are getting rid of the crud that has built up from the cigarettes, it will go on for up to a month, after that you will cough much less!. It takes about a year for your lungs to be completely clear once you have stopped smoking!. But they do indeed regenerate, congratulations on your cessation!.
It would be very helpful to your body to stay well hydrated during this process, two liters a day is the body's minimum requirement for water, suggest if you aren't drinking at least this much, you should be!. It will help to thin your secretions and make it much easier for your lungs to clean themselves out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds more like a sinus problem!. not lung problem!. dry sinuses and throat while sleeping!.!.!.!.use a humidifier while you sleep!. see your doctor for proper diagnosis

the mucus drying will become yellowish/brownish and if youre trying to get rid of it by coughing or blowing etc, you may be breaking tiny blood capillaries in the process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. The body does recover!.

Yes!. I have had this same experience myself!.

Yes!. It will go away!. Give it three more weeks!.

No!. I do not know if you have cancer, but yellow/brown gunk is not a typical symptom for cancer!. Give it three more weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
