Question: An ekg showed a block with no change from an ekg 2 years ago!?
Im a 49 yr old female -110 lbs- going thru menopause which the sweating is what sent me to the drs- I think she called it an av or sinus block-what does this mean!? I take atenolol for a thyroid disorder which keeps my pulse calm-why didnt they tell me about this 2 yrs ago at the er when i went there!? I was seen for the diagnosis of a hyperthyroid which is under control now-thanks-Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a paramedic and the block you have is very common in a lot of people!. The ER did not tell you about this because there is usually no medication or procedure to cure it!. Your health is not affected by it!. It is a disruption in the electricel (block) system that assists the heart in beating!.
