No, bacterial vaginosis is not an STD!. It is an infection you can get from using antibiotics, or improperly treating a yeast infection (using too much yeast infection medication), or from douching!.
It is a disruption in the level of good bacteria in the vagina and the levels of bad bacteria become overgrown!. Some might say it's because of sex because having sex or having too much sex may disrupt the levels of bacteria!.
Doctors have a hard time figuring out exactly why it happens from what I understand!. It is treated with antibiotics!. I would not have sex until you have been treated for it as you may become irritated!.

Yea you could have got it from him!.But u can also get from douching,vaginal creams, poor personal hygiene,sex,oral sex also!.Yea he also should be treated if not he will keep giving it back to u!.To be safe just use condomsWww@Answer-Health@Com
