after 2 hrs!. after a meal, sugar levels are 93, 114!. I don't eat anything after meal, and in the morning my sugar levels have gone up to 127 to131!. Shouldn't my levels be the same or lower in the morning!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, they should, but they frequently aren't!. This is called the daphenomenonnum!. There are several hormones that are released by your body in the early morning hours, all steroids, which increase your glucose levels!. A non diabetic's body releases extra insulin to handle these steroids, but a diabetic's body doesn't do that, so your glucose rises!. Your post prandials are great, by the way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not necessarily!. I have diabetes type 2 and have times that fasting is higher than all other readings in a day!. Doctor told me that there are some of us who will "produce sugar" even in our sleep and it won't matter what we eat or don't eat before bed!.

Hope this answers at least some of your questions on this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
