Question: Any info on getting my tonsils taken out!
so i go in for surgery in like 1 week!. and i have no idea what to expect!. does anyone know how long the surgery will take!? will i be in so much pain i'll be required to stay overnight!? im really disappointed that i've gotta have this surgery in the summer! should i cancel all my plans for the next two weeks!? is my throat gonna hurt that much! ahhhhhh boo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You won't be in unbearable pain, and you probably wont have to stay overnight, unless there are complications(which occur rarely)you will be able to go home the same day!. There will be some pain in your throat for the first few days after the surgery but after that it wont be too bad, so i wouldn't cancel all your plans, to help the pain suck on ice, eat ice cream, and run a humidifier in your house!. Also you should stay away from sick people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, your throat is gonna hurt bad for a week or two!. Since you are older, you may have to stay at the hospital all night!. Most little kids are done in out patient surgery now days!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have to go through the same thing!.!.!. I currently have a peritonsillar abscess, which sucks! I'm hoping someone comments on this, becase I want to see what it's like!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
