My mom told me that .........!

Question: My mom told me that !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
that she has diabetes, and she said it would go away, is that true!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
NO!. Diabetes does NOT go away!. Neither type!. She just did not want to scare you!. She can control it if she watches her diet, gets daily exercise and takes her meds the way she is supposed to!. Once you have diabetes, it is for life!. It can be controlled well enough that the blood sugar readings are within range and she will not have the bothersome sypmtoms like she did, but it does not go away or reverse itself!. She needs to go to some diabetic educational classes and learn about the disease!. Type 1 and type 2 are both just as bad as the other, both can be hard to control, and cause disease in the rest of the body if it is not controlled!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only diabetes that goes away on its own is gestational diabetes and you get that one when you're pregnant (sometimes)!. Some diabetics can control their diabetes with diet and others need insulin!. I believe you can reverse diabetes with permanent changes in your diet (cutting out all sugars and grains), but those are not easy changes for a lot of people to stick too over a long period of time!. Still, it can be done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Type I diabetes is permanent!.!.!. its basically a "defect" in the body - usually people are born with this type of diabetes and it isnt directly associated with lifestyle

Type II diabetes is known as "Adult-Onset" (even though many children are developing it nowadays)!. It is a type of diabetes that is developed based on lifestyle!. It can be a malfunction of the body based on malnutrition, obesity, etc!. This type of diabetes can go away with the right lifestyle changes and sometimes medications!. However, Type II diabetes varies from person to person a lot of times so there is no clear "answer" for all Type II diabetics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on whether she has type 1 or 2

if she has type 1 then she will have it forever!.
her pancreas stopped making insulin all together!.
She will either have to get a pump or give herself shots everyday!.

If she has 2 then it could!. If it is 2 then she is probably over weight
if she loses some weight or becomes healthier then it will most likely
go away!.
She will need to do the same thing as in one but maybe not forever!.

Hope I could help!

No, sadly it will not!. But, don't worry!. If she takes her medication regularly, takes care of her diet, exercises and monitors the levels of sugar in her blood a few times a day she'll be with you, healthy and happy for a long time!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

unfortunately no!. It doesn't go away!. there are different types though, and depending on that, she might have to do different things!. Like my dad only has to take a pill, instead of shots, but no matter what the type, its permanent!. sorry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depend if shes type 1 or 2 type 1 cannot go away because your pancreas shuts down type 2 can go away / improve because the pancreas isnt functioning properly
