Answers:
your diagnosis is Pulmonary Embolism , a condition where your lungs vessel called pulmonary vessels recieves an emboli !. (emboli are basically dislodged thrombi caused by clotting of blood , because of long rest in bed or immobility or pregnancy , trauma or a after surgery )!.!.this condidtion can be dangerous if these small emboli reach the coronary arteries supplying cardiac muscles and there is chances of acute MI ,(myocardial infarction) INR is international normalisation ratio , initilly they inject you with heparin and warfarin together , whenyour INR is between 1!.5 and 3 then they snd you on warfarin , you are checked regularly , by looking in INR , and keep it high which means thinning your blood !. when you are told that you had this problem because of immobilisation then its very possible that they will stop your warfarin , in conditions like Protein c /protein s deficiency warfarin can be life long therapy
talk to your doctor and try to do some exercise reduce fats in diet and no smoking if you do !.!.!.
good luck !Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well it depends on the reason for the clot!. If it was connected with the pleurisy etc it may be that you can tail off the warfarin!. If it was because of your blood in general the doctor may decide that you need it forever!. I know several people who are on it for life and several who have now stopped it!. It really does depend on so many things it is impossible to give you a definitive answer!. Do remember that it saved you life and you were very lucky!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well that all sounds awful, poor you!. I expect the blood clot has disolved by now, but we wouldn't know about the warfarin you will have to ask your Doctor!. I do have friends who take it all the time for heart probs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is really a question for your doctor because you'll need some follow up while on the warfarin!. The medicine they gave you in the hospital may have disolved the clot!. Did they take another xray to check!? The warfarin keeps your blood thin and from clotting as fast as it could!. They have to check the clotting factor to make sure it stays within limits!. I was on it for 4 years after having a blood clot!. Now I take aspirin!. While you're on warfarin you can't take aspirin because that thins your blood too!. There are some vegetables you can't eat very much of because they make your blood clot!. Greens (Spinach and collards and mustard) and cruciferous(broccoli and cabbage) And be careful not to cut yourself!.
That's probably the same reason I got one!. I have digenerative disk disease and don't move around much!. I haven't had to take the warfarin for 10 years now but I am faithful about taking the aspirin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
