Red bumps on arms and legs.!
Question: Red bumps on arms and legs!.
I've had them for about 3 or 4 years!. I don't think it's razor burn!. The doctors have seen it but they didn't say anything!. so im guessing it's not a bad thing!. But it's really embarrasing to wear shorts!.
They're on the back of my legs and above my elbow on the back and some on the side of my arms!.
Would the dermatoligist give me something!? [like what!?]
And if i go to the derm!. would i have to make an appointment through my doctor first!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should do some research on a skin condition called Keratosis Pilaris!. It is a skin condition that causes red bumps on the legs and on the arms!. I believe it is also a genetic condition!. There are moisturizers that help, but there is no cure for it!.Also make an appointment with a dermatologists ASAP!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is possible to become allergic to your bath soap and laundry detergent , even though you may have used them for years!. Try changing your soaps for a month to see if that helps clear up your rashes!. Also if your skin is very dry you should be careful when showering that you don't stand under the water spray more than 10 minutes!. I was told to use a mild soap that wasn't a deoderant type too!. Your skin also needs moisture from the inside too,,,please drink lots of water! It will help the dryness from inside out! If the rash still bothers you and will not go away, please see an Allergy Doctor or a Dermatologist to find out why your body is reacting this way! you can also try some over the counter hydrocortazone cream for itching, and see it that helps!. !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.OR Twice daily, apply a strong skin care product, such as Aquaphor or Vaseline!.
I used to small, raised red bumps on the backs of my arms, and used, just as I said, Vaseline twice a day, and within approximately a month, they had cleared up considerably!.

could they be ingrown hairs!?
if you look at the bumps are there little hairs in there trying to grow out!?
if so, it's an exfoliation problem
if it's not that, and you don't think it's razor burn then for sure i'd go back to the doc and ask them what's going on
i don't think it's anything to be embarassed about, but if you are feeling uncomfortable and it's bugging you then for sure go back!.
making an appt with the derm:
your doc MIGHT make a referral for you over the phone!. call the doc and explain that you've been into the doc's office for this before and could they please make a referral
they might do it, or they might say you have to come back and let your doc look at it again before he/she makes the referral
good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

ok, it depends on your insurance weither you need a referral or not!. most of the time you do!. I have the little red bumps on my arms and i use differin cream!. it works very well, and also has the added benefit of tightening up the skin!. it may tingle a bit while you get used to it, about 4 days, but after that you will see a improvement!. and get the cream, not gel!. I think you can safely rule out Smallpox and Leprosy!
My sister had that!. I thought it had to do with shaving her legs and irritating the pores!. I don't think I ever saw a guy with it but I have seen women with it, so I think its either shaving or "one of those female things"!.
