What kind of products besides proactive can you use for severe acne!

Question: What kind of products besides proactive can you use for severe acne
Answers:
i've battled acne since i was in my early teens!. i've used proactiv, murad, pills from the dermatologist (like minocyclin, augmentin, etc!.), all the otc stuff like clearasil!. i break out moderate to severe - mostly due to stress!.

the best thing i've used thus far is anything with sulfur as the active ingredient!. you can't get these products at wal-mart and they're usually pretty pricey, but they work the best on me! i am currently using peter thomas roth acne cream!.

here is the link:
http://www!.sephora!.com/browse/product!.jh!.!.!.

i think they also have a acne treatment that is only 35 dollars!.
my skin started clearing after the first time i used this!. i use cetaphil as a basic face wash, apply the cream, then use a light moisturizer!. i also go to the dermatologist for pills, but i have been off of them for about three weeks now!.

hope you get the same results!
good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have cysts, you may try using products with benzoil peroxide (like in Proactiv cleanser and lotion)!. If that doesn't help, you need to see a doctor to get a prescription for antibiotics!. Those work on bacteria that cause inflammatory acne!.

If you have comedos, I'd recommend using some acids for exfoliation!. Commonly used acids include AHA (like in Proactive toner), BHA and azelaic acid!. Those prevent the epidermis from becoming too thick and dull and the latter two also prevent pores from clogging!.

Retinoids are also effective on acne!. The stronger ones are available on prescription only, but there are also some good OTC alternatives!. Depending where you live, you may be able to get Avene retinaldehyde products, and Diacneal is especially formulated for acne (includes retinaldehyde and AHA)!.

If you have severe acne, you may need to use all three types of products, at least for some time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
