Question: Large fluctuant swelling around vein donor site
My husband had a double by-pass surgery early in June this year!. The vein was taken from lower left arm!. Four days ago, we noticed that he had swelling in three places along the cut!. It is not red or hot,it is not sore or tender to the touch!. But has become larger in the last days, His GP looked at it today, and has ordered an Ultra Sound to check it, as he has never seen anything like it!. Any ideas!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd just wait for the results of the test, and let your doctor advise you of the outcome!. In the meantime, I would not worry, as if it was an emergency, your doctor would have admitted your husband into the hospital!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Either a collection of lymph or blood!. Don't really need an ultrasound!. See your surgeon and he/she can simply aspirate it though if lymph it will likely recur for awhile until the lymphatics seal themselves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
