Question: What is the name of this disease!?
Around 15 years ago my husband's father passed away from a hereditary condition that is similar to cirrosis of the liver, but is more devastating!. It attacks the liver and the heart!. Once the person starts getting symptoms it is basically too late!. However, if he has blood work done and catches it in the early stage it is treatable!. For example my husband does not have the condition, but his brother does!. All he had to do was stop drinking!. And he is in perfect health!. My husband and I can not remember the name of this disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it is Heriditary Hemochromatosis that you are referring to!. This is an absorption disorder causing iron overload in the heart/liver!. A simple blood test can diagnose this!.
