So i just got a colonoscopy done at 2pm this afternoon, and it now looks like I started my period!.!.!.!? This is really gross but it doesn't look like blood, it's more or less just brown!. Could this be from the colonoscopy!? I'm not supposed to start my period until about the 25th of august!! Could I have been pregnant and not known it!?!? please tell me if you know anything about this thanks!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A colonoscopy is done through the rectum!. If You are bleeding from the vagina, then something does not sound right!. There could be a small tear in the space between the vaginal wall and the colonal-rectal tract!. Besides, when you first start your period, the blood is usually red because it is the most recent debris from the uterus!. It usually does not turn brown until you are nearing the end!. Call the doctor and explain to them what is going on!. If there is a tear, it could cause infection and/or bleeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If its coming from your vagina, it could be your PERIOD early, and it could happen from the colonoscopy (more likely with stomach/pelvic surgeries, however this is a very in depth procedure)!.!.!.or you could be OVULATING, which can also make you bleed a little bit!.!.!.

If it is coming from your butt, its from the procedure! Keep "farting" it out (gross I know, but its got to come out some how!!!) Www@Answer-Health@Com

After a colonoscopy, some bleeding from the rectum may occur, but it should not be excessive!.
If you think you may be pregnant take a hpt to be sure Www@Answer-Health@Com
