The tumours will be removed straight away through an operation, and his body will be checked to see if they were were cancerous!.
If they were, your grandad will receive the correct treatment to kill the cancer cells!. This can be either radiotherapy (treated using radiation that penetrates and kills the cells) or/and chemotherapy (taken in medication form)!.
Chemotherapy can be very upsetting, and if he needs this treatment, he will need lots of time and patience, but he will be in good hands!.
Radiotherapy is different, but can be distressing!. It can cause tiredness and some pain!. My Mother received radiotherapy and she suffers from early athritis in the area that was treated!.
His treatment will last for how ever the Doctor tells him, and once it has been completed, he will be checked again to see if the cancerous cells have been destroyed, and if they have spread!.
If it was a success, he will be checked regularly over the next few years to see if the cancer has returned!.
Good luck with everything my dear, I hope and pray that your Grandad is not suffering from cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
