Ok since a while I been shaving My underarms right, so I always get red bumps and in class at school before summer started I couldn't raise my arms unless I had a jacket and it was hard in the pool to so now I'm going to try something new like I want my underarms to rest so I'm not going to shave until school starts which is August 25th I no its gross but I wont be going swimming or doing anything to raise my arms and i have shirts that cover under there so I'm going to give my shaving bumps a rest and everyday put aveno lotion on and when I do start shaving when school starts it will be with aveno soap so do you think my bumps will go away if i don't shave for a while and put aveno lotion on it do you think that Will help!?

I used to get the same thing on my legs and underarms and even my toes! It was horrible and painful! It's probably ingrown hairs!. So yes letting your pits rest will help!. I stopped using shaving cream and soap!. I bought Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion, Fragrance Free, and started shaving with that!. Also make sure you shave during or right after a hot shower because that will help your hair follicles open up!. (I soak my legs in a bath for about 10 minutes first!.!.!. It's kind of hard to soak your armpits but maybe lay in a warm a bath for a few) And exfoliate before you shave!. You wouldn't believe how much better it is! I rarely get bumps now!

Good Luck & God Bless!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sure it will help
Giving it a rest will help your skin heal!.
When you do go back to shaving however, make sure your razor is sharp and clean- therefore relatively new!. Don't use too much pressure when shaving and use as few strokes as possible to get the hair off!. Using a new razor will make this easier!. Also, change your razor henceforth ever couple of uses to keep the "red bumps" ( aka as razor burn) from coming back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah i had the same thing that you did it really sucks!. but what i did was stoped shaving for like a couple days i know you don't wanna do that cause like thats gross and all but i did and i kept putting lotaion on everyday like 3 times a day!. so that would help you if you don't shave for a little bit!.!.!. i hope i helped u!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is weird!. Uh!.!.!.I don't shave my underarms but I pluck them!. My sister used to shave hers but I dont know if she has any bumps!. I think you should try plucking it!. Maybe that way, your bumps will go away!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

exfolate and shave with the hair instead of against it that should help too the lotion might clog the pores under there and make more bumps so i would just leave it alone besides deodorant!.!.!.!.!.i hope this helps have fun at schoolWww@Answer-Health@Com

dont listen to any of these people!.!.!.!.shave down not up under your arms and if you use a moistourizing soap it should be fine!. I would recommend bath n body soaps cause it makes it soft and smooth!!! remember shave down not upWww@Answer-Health@Com

try waxing, it stays way longer and if you moisturize after you shouldnt get bumbs!.

:] good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

shlt, use some punctuation and end your sentences please!.
have you tried waxing!? what about after-shave cream!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congratulations - I think you actually have shaving rash the same as the guys get on their face!.
I have no idea what aveno lotion is though if it is only a moisturising type cream it probably won't do any harm!. On the other hand it is probably making you sweat more and irritating the area you have shaved!.
You could try something astringent on your underam to keep it dry but it may sting on application
A more permanent solution would be to have them professionally waxed as the hair follicles will not grow back as fast and as bristly - so less irritation to your underarms
Once that is under control make sure that you do wear a good gentle deodorant - a roll on is good and doesn't give the people around you a chemical overload from not spraying - it also gives better coverage and will keep the skin dry and less likely to be irritated - give it a go!.
If you want a good but effective deodorant - find an avon agent and go for one with the vanilla and musk - it works well Www@Answer-Health@Com
