My wife has a small bump behind her ear less than a centimeter, tender non mobile!

Question: My wife has a small bump behind her ear less than a centimeter, tender non mobile what can it be
Answers:
subcutaneous cyst!. I have several of them every now and then!. If they are painful or become infected the doctor will make an incision to allow the fluid to drain and prescribe antibiotics!. Otherwise they will go away on their own with no complications!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a cyst!. Does she also have a sore throat or problem swallowing!. Any white spots in the back of her throat, low grade temp, or nasty taste in her mouth!? Is the area warm!. and are there any other swelling glands juset below the lower jaw line!.
My first thought would be that these are all indicative of a sore throat with glandular swelling, but usually, the notes are directly down either side of her neck, below her ears!. You said it could have been present abput 7 - 10 days, firm, tender and non movable!.!.

However, because it has persisted for this long, it could be something else, too, and I would suggest that she have it checked out!.

An alternative would be to try mild saline gargles say four times a day for a couple days!. But, this would only really be effective is she did have an associated sore throat!.
