Answers:
It depends on what type of surgery they are going to use to remove the appendix!. If they do it via laproscopic surgery, her recovery time will be much quicker than actually having to cut her open and remove it!. Recovery time for a laproscopic surgery is between 2-3 weeks, it also depends on how your mother comes out of surgery (i!.e!. any infections, complications)!. She should not be in the hospital for more than 2-3 days as long as the surgery goes well!. Good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my appendix taken out a long time ago, so I would imagine the procedure has been improved upon since then!.
For me, personally, I don't remember how long the surgery took, but I was only in the hospital for a few days!. A week later, I had my staples removed (yes, they used surgical staples!.)
It takes a while (a few weeks) to get totally back to normal- no heavy lifting, etc!.
Be patient and try to help her out when you can!.
Appendectomies are a pretty routine surgery, so everything should go just fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When i had my Appendicitis i was in theater about 1 hour 30 minutes & I was In hospital for 7 days recovering until i got to go home!.After that i got better and better everyday & After about a month i was nearly back to normal!.But My Appendix actually burst inside me so, i dont know if everything will vary if your mom's hasnt burst!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HAD MINE OUT WHEN I WAS APPROX 11 / 12 YEARS OLD!.!.!.!.!.AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER, IT'S A STRAIGHT FORWARD SURGERY, DOSN'T TAKE LONG ( I DON'T KNOE EXACTLY HOW LONG, BECAUSE I WAS OBVIOUSLY PUT ASLEEP )!.!.!.!.BUT IF MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT!.!.!.!.I WAS IN AND OUT WITHIN 4/5DAYS!.!.!.!.!.A WEEK AT THE MOST!.!.!.!.I MIGHT BE WRONG THOUGH, AND EVERYONES DIFFERENT, AND I WAS ONLY 11 / 12 YEARS OLD, YOUR MOTHER IS AN ADULT!.!.!.SO THINGS MAY BE DIFFERENT!.!.!.!.BEST THING TO DO IS RING THE HOSPITAL SHE'S GOING TO, AND ASK THEM WHAT YOU'VE ASKED ON THID SITE!.

GOOD LUCK !.

Surgery is very short, but she will be in recovery for a while, Plan about 2-3 for surgery!. She will be in the hospital overnight and released the next day!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

For mine, I was out, under anesthesia, for a couple hours!. I stayed in the hospital for three days!. I could barely move for about two weeks!. I probably had a full recovery in about a month or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
