Question: Nephritic syndrome and pregnant!?
I have been diagnosed with this disease since i was 12 years old ! and I'm 20 now!. 3 months ago i found out i was pregnant so I'm considered high risk this is my first child so i don't really know what to expect they been taking alot of blood and i had to do a 24 hour urine so I'm wondering have any other women been thru this with this disease!?
will be able go on in this pregnancy my ob-gyn has told me he has never had a patient with nephritic syndrome!

If renal function is preserved (normal creatinine clearance on a 24 hour urine collection), most of these pregnancies will be uncomplicated!. Hypertension should be closely watched!.
The biggest risk is pre-eclampsia,
Women often develop greater than normal edema (swelling) due to the loss of so much protein into the urine and subsequent loss of colloid oncotic pressure in the blood, which leads to leaking from the capillaries!.
