I am no expert on this!. I do know heart issues can be hereditary and that you increase your odds by smoking!. I know cigarettes are addicting, but my guess is that it is not good to be smoking if you have a damaged lung!. You are too young to be stressing over this without knowing the facts as they would relate to you!. Go to the doctor and discuss ALL your fears and make sure you tell the doctor about how much you smoke!. If you are a high risk person, the doctor will give you advice on how to lower the risk!. And determine if you should be on any medicine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes you Can have a heart attack at any age!.The best thing to do seeing as how you are at risk is to have a screening,talk to your Dr and see what he or she says!.Any way you look at it you should see a Dr!.[that never hurt anyone]!.Also and I know you dont want to hear this but you do need to quit smoking!.Good Luck!! While it is not common for a young person to have a heart attack, it is possible!. Smoking increases your risk!. Quitting is the one thing that you can do yourself to decrease your risk!.
My sister's boyfriend died from a heart attack while playing volleyball at age 19!. Later, they found out that he had a heart condition!. He ate healty and was very active!. Never smoked or drank alcohol!. Freak thing, but there are many stories out there of young people instantly dying from heart attacks!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get a heart attack at a young age
but if you are concerned, maybe you should see a doctor and ask if you're at a greater risk and then take teh proper precautions to prevent it!.

yes dear, you can suffer from a heart attack even without knowing!. but you are not dead yet so here's your chance to quit smoking, you can do it with some helpline or support group!.
