Is my mole cancerous or actually a tumor?!

I have this mole that just appeared a month or so ago outta the blue!. It's not like a normal mole though, it's long looking!. I figured I'd try to rip it off but it feels like its buried down in my muscle!. Instead of it getting ripped off, it stretched or like pulled out to look longer!.

My mother had told me she gets them on her neck due to medicine, but I'm not on any medicine!. I'm worried it could be skin cancer or something!. I've heard from people that they're quite common and nothing to worry about as long as it's flesh colored and not dark, mis shaped, elevated, etc!.

The best way I can explain it is it looks sort of like the tip of a nipple but thin, fleshy color, and feels buried deep!. I was tempted to take the finger nail clippers to snip it off!.

Anyone else have any moles that meet this description or advice on what should be done, or possibly some information on this type!?
