Question: My boy friend just got diagnosed with diabeties
(sorry if im spelling that wrong) he has type one diabeties!. i don't completly understand what that means is wrong with him, if it will affect his mood, if it makes him tired, and stuff like that!. thanks so much!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there, Initially he may be in a low mood like anyone that has been advised they have a life changfing condition!. Buy once it sinks in and he starts his treatment he will be fine!.
Type 1 diabetes is when a persons pancreas produces little or no insulin!. (Insulin is needed to transport sugars from food that get into your blood stream and to bring these sugars to different parts of the body like your organs and muscles this is how we get energy for our bodies to work) when there is no Insulin in the body the sugar cant be transported to the organs and muscles and what happens then is the sugar builds up in the blood stream and can cause severe damage to ones health!. Im sure your BF have been prescribes insulin injections which in essence will work in a similar way to his pancreas except for he has to do it manually!.
He can lead an absolutley normal life with diabetes by taking his insulin, eating healthy, exercising and NOT SMOKING!.
I would be more than happy to help you if you need my assistance, but in a nutshel he wont change!. Diabetes is not a disease it a condition!.
