Question: If a stroke leaves someone with right hand paralysis what part of the brain is damaged!?

I'm not a doctor, but know several stroke victims!. They all have more than just a hand that is paralyzed!. Generally, if their stroke was on the left side of the brain, the paralysis is on the right (opposite) side of the body and vice versa!.
Some have regained much of what the stroke took from them, after rehabilitation and treatment!. One had major disabilities, despite rehab and treatment!. This person also had more than one stroke, however!.
