How many would believe that someone can be allergic to Aerosol Air fresheners?!

Definitely!. Just read some of the warning statements on these products!. I switched awhile ago to a product called Fridge-IT odor absorbers!. It is an activated carbon odor eliminator that is totally fragrance free and no sprays or plug in oils that I don't like!.
It just works great and gets rid of every odor problem I've had including refrigerator, closets, smoke odor in purse and cat litter box!.
