Answers:
I definitely think that you should go!. A head cold would not fly as a reason to not go to work!. The only things that you should not go to work for is something that a doctor is adamant about you staying home for!. examples: strep throat, the day of and a couple of days after a major surgery, pneumonia, stroke, heart attack , some type of pain that prevents you from moving, stuff like that

A head cold is not a reason not to go to work, it is an excuse!. Your mum is right in the work force you do have to push yourself but going to work with a head cold is hardly pushing yourself, it just another day at the office!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is true that in the real work force you might be sick but still feel obliged to go because you know that theres no one to cover for you!. I guess it comes down to only staying home if your really, really sick!. Try going to the chemist and get some cold and flu tablets, usually you feel better during the day!. And on your first day, they will see for themselves if you are in a bad way and let you go home!. Atleast then you will know that they dont think your making up an illness to get out of it especially as you wont be getting paid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should just take some cold and flu tablets and soldier on!. It masks the symptoms and makes you feel fine!. But like the others said, it depends what kind of work you are doing (if it's in aged care or childcare you shouldn't go in)!. And if you're looking to get a job out of it after the work experience!. I wouldn't hire someone if they called in sick with a cold in the first week they were supposed to be there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on where you are doing your work experience!. Eg if you were going to a nursing home or hospital then no way should you go!. It depends whether you are going to give your cold to others!. I would suggest you contact them and advise them you have a cold but are happy to work but leave the decision to them!. They would not like you to infect their paid workers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had wondered the etiquette on that myself, particularly sending my children off to school if they were feeling okay within themselves!. Would the teachers think I'm being a germ spreader!? I picked up a brochure at a doctors surgery on the cold and flu and there was a paragraph saying that it was okay for kids to be sent to school if it was just a cold!. I would say that if you're not feeling sick with it, go!. You'll get brownie points!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's up to you!. How bad do you feel!? If you honestly feel terrible, don't go in - you won't learn anything feeling like crap anyway!. If you feel like you can handle the day, then for sure go to work! A head cold is not contagious, but you may want to see your doctor to rule out a sinus infection or strep throat! Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It greatly depends on the work that you are doing!. Nobody wants someone with the sniffles to be preparing food!. Take some cold medicine and it should make it bearable for 8 hrs!. You should realize now that unless you are tied to the toilet we all go to work even when we are a bit under the weather!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, your Mum is right!. You may as well get used to competing in the "rat race" as soon as you can!. Where I come from if you take too many days off sick you find someone else has taken your job when you return!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's only a week you shouldn't miss a day - personally I think that makes you look bad!.!.!. unless you're really sick and if you are chances are you'd have to take off more than one dayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Noff ifn nu cn elp it! Wif yer nofe all snuffed up yose gunna look like a deadsh*t and you done wanna look like wunna them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
