Is my sugar levels bad? I'm not diabetic but I check my sometimes?!

Question: Is my sugar levels bad!? I'm not diabetic but I check my sometimes!?
My mom is a diabetic and she was also pregnant with me and she got "pregnant diabetes"
so i know i'm at higher risk
but sometimes when she checks her (she has one of those home ones where you prick your finger and put it on the strip etc) and she checks mine too

every time I've checked mine mine has been in the 80's
accept one time it was in the low 100's
but I had just ate less than 20 minutes before

also I'm 16 years old, eat pretty healthy and I'm not over-weight
I'm 5'3 weight 116lbs
and i excerise almost dayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Not only are your levels normal, they are truly, wonderfully, *perfectly* normal!.

By that I mean that there is a fairly wide range of what is considered "normal"!. The closer you get to the high end of "normal", the closer you get to pre-diabetes and full-blown diabetes territory!.

But you are nowhere near that!. I have read in several places (such as http://www!.phlaunt!.com/diabetes/16422495!.!.!. ) that 82-85 is the "ideal" perfect non-diabetic blood glucose level!.

You are as good as it gets! :-)

(great job with the weight and daily exercise, too!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,

Your blood glucose levels sound just fine, A "normal" range is 80 - 100!.

If you just ate anything with carbohydrate, your blood glucose will go up!. It's supposed to :D Carbohydrates turn into blood glucose and then travel to all the cells of the body, where they are metabolized into energy!.

Cheers,

Nothing wrong with your blood sugar at all, it's normal!. Your mom should keep it at that range!. she has to keep as close to a normal persons as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, your levels seem perfectly normal!.!.!.possibly even low at 80!. I'm not sure what the lower level cutoff is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
