Question: Help quick! treated uti worsens!
my boyfriend's little sister had a uti last week and went to the hospital to get it treated and they gave her antibiotics, but now apparently it's gotten worse and their parents refuse to take her to the hospital!.!.!.!.!.what can we do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

give her cranberry juice go to urgent care which is cheaper or if it is not that bad wait till monday and see a regular MD

You can`t overstep her parents but maybe you could suggest that she could be on the wrong antibiotic if her condition has worsened!. Pure cranberry juice, although not the tastiest is very good for the urinary tract, that, and drinking plenty of water should be encouraged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Look in the yellow pages for a free health clinic in your area!. But you do know that you are going to need the parents permission for doctors to treat her!. Get it in writing and notarized before going to free clinic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If a UTI is left without treatment, it can turn into a kidney infection and damage the kidneys!. Why don't you look up info on the web regarding UTI's and print it out for her parents to read!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can still call the hospital and ask for advice!. Some people drink cranberry juice, but it may be beyond that by now!. I'm not a doctor, so please call one to get some better advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drink cranberry juice or even like apple cran as long as cranberry is in it!. This flushes it!.

There is also over the counter AZO and it works well!.!. Drink a lot of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Either take her yourself, or call child services/the police It's illegal for parents to intentionally endanger a child, especially if it's medical negligence!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can go get some otc medication!. if the problem persists, take her to the dr!. it could lead to something more serious!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
