I have a heart murmur i'm clueless!

Question: I have a heart murmur i'm clueless
Ok looong story, My doctor found that i have a heart murmur!. Later I find out it's because i have aortic stenosis, or a narrow aortic valve!. One doctor said it was bad, one said it wasn't that bad i just had to eat healthier!. But they didn't even look at my echo cardio-gram, and it showed how much blood was being pumped through my heart, so i would think that would be pretty important!. And lately my period has been late and light could this have something to do with it!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A heart murmur itself is just a noise, the noise the heart is making as it works!. However, some of the noises are produced by a heart condition that needs to be watched- like your aortic stenosis!. I don't know if these doctors were cardiologists or not- I hope they were, as that's the best person to advise you on what to do next or expect in the future!. In some cases, if you aren't having a lot of trouble in every day life, and the stenosis isn't that severe- they don't do much except tell you to try not to overexert yourself with really strenuous sports activities!. In other cases, where you are having pain, or passing out often- they will recommend a valve replacement!. And there are other things inbetween those two extremes!. I don't think the stenosis has any part to play in your periods, although stress over it all could certainly do it!. In your case, I think you, your heart and your echo need to be evaluated completely by a cardiologist that will take the time to look everything over and answer all your questions!. If they don't, keep looking until you get the answers you want and need!. The echo would tell them how bad the stenosis was and what to tell you to expect in the future!. And yes, they should have looked at it!. Maybe they did before you arrived- but at least they should have told you that!. Before you go again, make a list of all the questions you have, and don't budge until you get the answers!. That's part of the reason they are there, and you are paying them for their expertise!. Good luck, and keep in mind, no matter what- aortic valve stenosis is a correctable thing, if it comes to it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your late monthly periods have nothing to do with aortic stenosis per se!. It could be the stress you have from the illness that's making your periods irregular!.

Now, with aortic stenosis, ask yourself how much of your daily activities are being put on hold because of symptoms related to it, & that would gauge its severity!. Go to a reputable cardiologist & let it be taken care of!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
