Question: We just found out that my sister has crohns disease
My sister has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks and they now have diagnosed her with crohns disease!. Does anyone know anybody with this or can tell me a bit about what to expect!? I have heard of it but I just don't know what to expect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Crohn's disease is a very serious condition where your intestines no longer function properly!. What you can expect during flare ups is diarrhea, pain, and many other unpleasant symptoms!. The first post was right, do a lot of research on it!. It's a chronic condition, and there is no cure or even real treatments!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
My grandpa has it, although it's more commonly found in younger people!. She'll have to be careful about what she eats and how much!. She doesn't want to end up with a bowel impaction (my grandmother had that-- though it wasn't crohn's related)!. You should do some Internet research on it!. Start with the wikipedia and branch out from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
