Answers:
Working in a STD clinic I talk with a lot of gay men (I also am a gay man) There are a couple of different reasons that I see!. And I must point out they don't get AIDS, the are infected with HIV, which may turn into AIDS, but is not always the case!.

One, some gay men feel they are going to become infected with HIV so why not just get it over, "besides, with the medications I can live a long time!."

Another reason is condom fatigue, some gay men are just tired of using condoms all the time!.

And there are some who still feel they "know" how to pick their partners!.

The trut is HIV does not have a face or a look, you can not tell by just looking at a person!. The other problem there are a lot of people who are HIV+ and don't even know it because they have never tested!.

For a long time the HIV infection among gay men was on the downswing, but it has started to increase over the past couple of years!. The message here is get tested, know your status!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a) Young gay men are more promiscuous!.
b) Historically, AIDS was brought to the USA by gay men from Haiti!.

Because aids is passed thru the blood!. Sodomy is an easy way for one with the disease, to pass it 2 his partner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is because men are more likely to carry STDs than women, and because it is man on man, maybe this means that more STDs are passed on!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a very high rate of transmission of HIV through anal sex, due to increased chance of bleeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
