I cannot get an appoitment to see a doctor until a week Friday I have have been !

This is outrageous!. In London some hospitals run out of hours GP surgeries!. Check with your local A&E to see if they have such a clinic, if not you do not accept to wait almost a fortnight with such symptoms!. Demand to see a doctor tonight, exadgerate the symptoms if needs be but do not allow the b*****ds to dismiss you!. This could be the sign of so many problems ranging from the trivial to the damn right serious!. If you get no joy go to the A&E department and wait to be seen!. I am not sure if you have NHS walk in centres where you live but if you have a medical problem and can't get an appointment to see your gp then you go to one of these centres and they will see to you there and then good luck and I hope this helps if not have you been on the nhs direct website you may get some help and advice on there seen as the phone service is not being too helpful!.p!.s Karen you are bang on!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell me about it!.

Absolutely shocking!.

A couple of months ago I had an abscessed tooth on a Friday night!. NHS Direct didn't want to know!. My dentist's phone was on answer with no response until Monday!. No doctor wanted to know!.

I got on the 7am flight Sat morning to Amsterdam saw a doctor within 2 hours, back homwSaturday afternoon with antibiotics and painkillers!.

Lol thumbs up for Karen!. She is completely right!. The NHS are awful!. You have to book your illness a year in advance to make sure you get an appointment!. You could walk in with a leg hanging off and still get asked to wait your turn!.

If you are very concerned, or if it doesn't get any better, go to your local emergency room!. You'll probably have to wait a few hours to be seen (I spent 6 hours waiting for stitches), but it's sooner than friday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK, I'm very confused here, your saying your symptomatic with numbness in your left arm and neither NHS direct have returned your call, your Dr won't give you an appointment soon!? Ring up your Surgery and tell you them you MUST see a Dr today, even go along there if you have to!. Obviously, numbness in the left arm/hand is cause for immediate investigation or at least rule out the more serious causes!.

A & E won't see you unless you've spoken to NHS direct!?!? I mean, I knew Scotland's medical rules left a lot to be desired but, are you sure you haven't misunderstood the situation!?

Awful, get another doctor , OK mine is busy, its not a group practice but always get appointment within 2 days, unless you are being very restrictive time wise!. your numbness if in little finger and the next also that side of hand would be due to trapped ulna nerve which is near your elbow!. can cause arm to go numb too, Usually gets better on its own but can take a while!.!.!. If using keyboard, one handed, left or right, dont rest the other one on desk top etc, this can cause pressure near the elbow!. let arm not typing lie loose in your lap!.!.!. I had this but is perfectly OK now, Look it up on google, ulnar nerve!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
