Question: Is there a problem with my gallbladder!?

I have some questions!.
I get a pain in my side, I become very bloated and I'm very windy the passed few weeks too!.
The pain starts after greasy food mainly!. My mam thinks it sounds like gallbladder problems but I dont know much about it!. I think the pain is in the wrong place for that!.
I get a stitch like pain in my left hand side and the left side of my stomach becomes very bloated and it worsens if I take a deep breath too after I have high fatty foods!.
I got a severe pain in my upper abdomen a couple of month ago, my doctor put me on tablets for an ulcer but these have not helped!.
I am on a waiting list for to have a scan to check my liver and gallbladder as my doctor felt it should be checked!. However I wont be seen till March 09!. And the pain is becoming more severe!.
Can anyone tell me what they think this may be!?
I'm inclined to believe it is not my gallbladder as the pain is on the wrong side!. I've heard the pain would be on my right side!.
Any advice is welcome!.

you may have a problem with the pancreas!?its on the left side, just under the ribs!.Having an ultrasound will show if you have gallstones!.
If you feel real sick, go to the ER:some hospitals also have an MRI machine:this will show all your bowels for sure, and in case there is a problem with the pancreas, it can be checked on MRI!.

If the pain gets really bad - go to A and E so you will be seen straight away as you dont want to wait until next year!. My mum and dad have both had their gall bladders removed - in both cases it happened very suddenly after eating greasy food - they had severe pains and ended up going to A and E!. I'm afraid I don't know what side the pain was on though!.

your gall bladder is located like under your right rib cage!. and maybe you should find a new doctor!. being told to wait til march is ridiculous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
First of all you need to go back to the doctors and tell him that the pain is getting more severe and see if the appointment can be brought forward!. With gallbladder pain you will get severe pain across the top of your stomach through to your back,watch out for signs of jaundice such as pale stools,very dark urine and yellowing to the whites of your eyes if this happens you will need to be seen straight away!. On the other hand do you suffer from diarrhoea,constipation,wind and bloating as it could also be irritable bowel syndrome which can be treated!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
