I think I took the wrong insulin.!
Question: I think I took the wrong insulin!.
I am a type one diabetic on a long acting insulin called Levemir 62 units and a short acting Novolog 10 units 3x a day!. Well my girls have been fighting this morning and while I was trying to take both of the insulins, my youngest was kicking and screaming for milk and I should of just put my meds back and gave her milk, but I was trying to teach her paitence!.
anyways long story short I think I took 62 units of novolog instead of the 10!.
I called my doctor and he said to have orange juice on hand just incase, which I do have some!. But when will I know if I made the mistake, how long would it take to lower!.
My sugar was high this morning because of the provera I am taking for the last 10 days, final dose is today!. My blood sugar was 336!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that you are doing the best by keeping in touch with the doctor who knows you!. They would have told you to come to the clinic if they thought it was necessary!.
As you know the Novolog acts for about 4 hours!. It probably has peaked by now!. Just keep monitoring your sugar as you have!. Remember that a low is more of a threat than a high!. Do not be afraid of taking the juice if you are running low!.
Is there a chance that you took only 10 units of Levemir!? If so your sugars may be higher, and you could actually need more Novolog later in the day!. I cannot advise you on this!. Talk to your doctor about this if you have not done so!.
Your day will probably be a little screwed up, but you should be back on track tomorrow, although there may be some lingering effects from the Provera!.

I am on the insulin pump and also use Novolog, 62 units are a lot, but keep monitoring your sugar if its under 90 eat something bread, a cake, juice, fruits, until the effects passes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Get someone to stay with your kids and then have someone take you to the clinic!. Or have someone come and stay with you today!. If your bloodsugar drops too low, you'll need someone that can help you right away and not fighting kids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
