What can I take for a cold if I'm nursing?!


Question: What can I take for a cold if I'm nursing!?
My OB doc said that there's more I could take when I was pregnant, but when your nursing there's very little!. (He wasn't more specific and I can't talk to him til I pay the last 700$ of my hospital bill, sadly) My baby's Dr!. said I can take whatever I took when I was pregnant, which was Benedryl or Robitussin DM, and neither works for me!. I have a sinus and chest cold simultaniously and I'm so miserable, I've already missed several days work!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stay away from drugs but try some fresh orange juice!. Several small glasses a day!. You will be better in a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use saline nasal spray several times/day!.
Apply antibiotic ointment in your nostrils for about 2-3 days!.
Suck on Zinc lozenges & suck on cough drops with eucalyptus!.
Drink tea with lemon!.
Rub Vicks VapoRub all over your chest, throat, under your nostrils, on your forehead, under eyes & cheeks ( your sinus cavities are underneath!.
Use a vaporizer!.
Boil hot water in big pot, put towel over head, over pot & inhale steam!.!.!.don't get close enough to burn yourself!.
Try 2 Benedryl before sleep!.
