Answers:
"Non-diagnostic" sometimes is used in reference to a biopsy where the doctor was unable to obtain a sample that could lead to a conclusion of either the cells being benign or malignant (cancerous)!. It also may be used to explain a scan or other imaging that didn't result in a definitive diagnosis!.

An example !.!.!. In patients with lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes), a fine needle biopsy is often "non-diagnostic" because it does not yield a large enough sample to determine if there is indeed lymphoma and what kind it is!.

Usually, it means the test will need to be repeated or a different test will be done!. In the case of lymphoma, that would mean biopsy of the entire lymph node by removing the whole thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
