Would drinking beer socially affects my Type 2 diabetes sugar level condition ?!

Question: Would drinking beer socially affects my Type 2 diabetes sugar level condition !?
Answers:
It's ok to have a beer or two now and then!. But beer has a lot of carbs!. The beer will raise your blood sugar readings!. If you drink more than one or two, or drink mixed drinks, your blood sugar will go up and then drop low!. (hypoglycemia) This can be dangerous!. However, just drinking one or two beers once in awhile will not hurt you!. Many diabetics (both types) drink a beer or two every day and still have good control of their disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it will!. It can actually cause a low if you aren't eating when you drink!. It can be dangerous because of this effect!. People will assume you are drunk, and you can go dangerously low and even into a coma before someone realizes that you are in trouble!.

If you are on Meformin or any other oral drugs, check with your pharmacist!. I know you can't drink alcohol at all when on metformin, but I'm not sure about the other meds!. Alcohol is a complication best avoided if you are diabetic!.
