Lymphoma symptoms? Doctors preferred!!

Question: Lymphoma symptoms!? Doctors preferred!
When they say painless lumps in throat, armpit or groin, do they mean to the touch or when you don't touch them or at all!. I've had a swollen lymph node for close to a year now and it hurts now and then, but not to the touch just sometimes it feels like a quivering pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Not a doctor, but I've had lymphoma!.

Classic lymphoma nodes feel somewhat firm and rubbery (as opposed to soft and fluid or hard and fixed)!. When you press on nodes associated with lymphoma, they are not tender or sore to touch!. I had Hodgkin's Disease and this is exactly how my nodes were!. It was not until the nodes reached a very large size in my chest that I had any pain, and then the pain wasn't the nodes but rather the nerves that were being pressed on!.

That said, my father also had lymphoma (a type of Non-Hodgkin's) and he had a neck node swell up!. His node WAS painful to the touch!. I've also heard of people with Hodgkin's Disease who had sore or tender nodes, though it's not the norm!.

If you have a swollen node and it's been there for a year, whether it hurts or not a doctor needs to evaluate it, in person!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
