Question: Can a bloodtest pinpoint an allergy !?
my 2 1/2yr has been having a reaction to something for the last 5 days and he was covered in hives pretty much everywere they came in patches he is on steriods for the next 3 days and needs a bloodtest and this is going to bee stressful for him i know i just want to make sure they can pinpoint the allergan befor i put him through this anyone else had there kids tested this way !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are specific blood tests that can identify if your child is allergic, however, you need to have an idea as to what the agent is and then it needs to be an agent they can test for - not common, usually in relation to drug allergies!. I wouldn't put him through the test!. Try and make a list of possible causes - things he doesn't usually come in contact with but did, and take note if it happens again if there is a common exposure and perhaps see a doctor or even an immunologist if you are really concerned!. Most common allergies are dust/grasses/chemicals (new washing detergents, food preservatives etc)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
