Question: Is vitamin D deficiency related to fibromyalgia
Answers:
not really-vitamin d deficeincy can mimic the sympoms of FMS ort aggravate them--but is not a cause/sympom--

and it is NOT primarily stress related--

stress does make it worse---but that is only a small part of itWww@Answer-Health@Com

A number of people are vitamin D deficient and quite a few folks with fibro are, as well!. This may simply mean that folks aren't getting enough sunlight (less time outdoors, always wearing sunscreen, etc) and aren't eating vitamin D fortified foods like milk!.

If a person with fibro is deficient in more than just vitamin D (iron, B12, folic acid), he or she should see a gastroenterologist to rule out malabsorption disorders!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

no most of the time its stress related,

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors work best for this, such as antidepressants, or 5HTP!.
The degree of symptoms may vary greatly from day to day with periods of flares (severe worsening of symptoms) however, the disorder is generally perceived as non-progressive!.

It is also not fatal
