What is the difference between Aspergillus and Histoplasmosis?!
Question: What is the difference between Aspergillus and Histoplasmosis!?
Someone with a medial background that could, in laymans terms give me the basic differences of these two conditions!. I have known several people with histo of the lungs, and ocular histo, and more recently a now deceased person that had PC pneumonia along with Aspergillus!. I have read some on both conditions, but would like to know what the differences are in the two!. Thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The most obvious difference is that they are caused by different fungi!. Both can cause pneumonia, but histo very rarely leads to serious disease, since most people have a high level of innate resistance, and usuallly resolves without treatment!.
Apergillosis does not occur in normal, healthy individuals with competent immune systems!. This fungi can only cause infection in immunocompromised individuals, and can lead to life-threatening infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
