Question: If two people have sex one time, and one has herpes, what are the odds that the other will catch it!?
Answers:
If the infected person was not having an outbreak at the time, the chance is incredibly low that you would catch it!.

Put it this way, if you were having unprotected sex several times a week with a partner with herpes, your chance of contracting it in an entire year of unprotected sex would only be 5-10%, as long as you avoided outbreaks!.

That said, it does happen!. I was with a partner that had oral herpes (cold sores) for seven years!. He gave me oral sex and kissed me and I never caught it!. We split up briefly and I went home with a guy I worked with and he gave me oral sex though nothing else!. Four days later, I developed symptoms of genital herpes!. The guy from work hadn't had a cold sore in years!. My partner got them often!. The doctor thought it was most likely to have come from my long term partner, but because of the timing I think it is likely I got it from the guy who just gave me oral sex the one time!. The chances he was infectious with absolutely no symptoms were extremely low, but it still happened!. So though the risk is negligible, one day you might just be the unlucky one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on whether the infected person had an outbreak at the time!. If they did have an active outbreak, then the chances are higher!. If not, then the chances are lower!.

However, the chances are the same regardless of whether you hd sex one time or a dozen!. It's a crap shoot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well the chances are very high!.!.!. if not protection was used!.!. then the other person probably has it!.!.!. did you know that 1 in ever 5 americas have herpes!? so that means when you go out and have sex with somone you have a 20 percent chance of getting the disease!.!.!. grose isnt it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on if the person was having an outbreak or experiencing viral shedding!. Wait 2-20 days and then get tested to be sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
