Is there a way to lower cholesterol fast to do well on a blood test?!

Question: Is there a way to lower cholesterol fast to do well on a blood test!?
Yes, I know it would be cheating myself, and I know it's unhealthy and won't fix the problem!. But I keep going to the doctor and he keeps sending me for blood tests, so he can tell me my cholesterol's still high, so I can shell out another copay and get another test and go to another appointment, etc!., etc!. He won't put me on medication at this point, not that I want it!. He says I should just try to lose some weight, but I'm happy with my weight now, and if I lost some, I'd need new clothes, which I can't afford anyway!. But my cholesterol's not all that bad now, really, and I just want him to quit pestering me and making me waste my time and copay money!. So is there any way, any crash diet or supplement, that I can drop my cholesterol in, say, a week, so I can do better on the blood test and he'll quit hassling me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just a suggestion, but shouldn't you be more concerned about your long term health rather trying to "fool" a blood test!?

oatmeal with raisins, or anything else with a lot of fiberWww@Answer-Health@Com

No!.

Cholestrol comes down VERY slowly!. It takes weeks, maybe months, for the readings to come down!. Cholesterol is stored in your system (liver) and it take a LONG time for your liver to get "cleaned out"!.

You can HELP it come down by limit the amount of fat in your diet!. Don't eat butter!. don't eat fried food (only baked or broiled)!. Reduce your red meat intake (eat chicken or fish instead)!. Eat more fiber (salads, broccoli) but with very little salad dressing and NO cheese sauce!. Eat less cheese, and eat NO "processed cheese products"!. Eat whole grain cereals, like Cheerios or bran flakes!.

Anything reading over 150 is "bad", and if your reading is over 200, you MUST start treatment!.

High cholestreol is strongly related to heart attacks and strokes!. High cholesterol causes "hardening of the arteries" which causes high blood pressure!. If the arties get clogged, then you could have a stroke!. Clogged arteries in the heart is a heart attack!.

There is also a strong link between high cholesterol and Alzheimers Disease!. If cholesterol in the blood causes "hardening of the arteries" then cholesterol in the brain is thought of as "hardening of the brain"!.

Saying that you can't afford new clothes is just about the most assinine excuse for not losing weight that I have EVER heard! I mean!. can't you learn to sew!? Take up a dart in the back, fer-cryin-out-loud! Would you rather have badly fitting NICE clothes, or would you rather be stuck in a nursing home wearing a badly-fitting hospital gown, with your bare a$$ hangin out the back!?

It's YOUR choice !. !. !. !. !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
