I'm not a doctor or nurse, but I have many skin problems!. I had developed a horrific rash which would never go away!. Anytime I went to the doctor (my primary care), they said it was scabies!.!.!.it wasn't!. I finally went to the dermatologist and had a biopsy done!. What I had was called Pityriasis Rosea, and it can last for months!. Once diagnosed, I was given the proper cream and it went away!.

Then, again, I got another rash, worse than the first!. Once again I was told scabies, once again, they were wrong!. After another trip to the dermatologist and 3 more biopsies I was diagnosed with dermatitis herpetiformis (nothing to do with herpes!) It is a rash caused by Celiac Disease (basically a gluten allergy)!.

With both skin conditions, I would scratch till I bleed, it wasn't fun!. Both also became worse and more irritated when my skin was wet, especially hot water!. For a long time I thought there was a problem with the water in my pool!. I began to shower in cold water it was so bad!

My suggestion is to go to the dermatologist and have a biopsy done!. For me, I didn't even feel the biopsy because my skin hurt worse than what they were doing!.

Good luck!

PS!. There is an over the couter cream called Sarna (sp), it's pricey, but it works!. Keep in in the fridge and the menthol in the cream will really help tame your itch when you put it on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, you should finish the medication you're on now before you start panicking!. I'm a nurse, and the most common problem is that people do not finish their meds!. You need to take the entire prescription, even if you start to feel better!.
If it still has not gone away, you need to find a skin specialist/dermatologist and see them!. It absolutely can be taken care of with proper diagnosis and treatment!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Better take another trip to the Doc ,this can be resolved with proper diagnosis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like scabies to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Jess

I would dab organic apple cider vinegar on your itch (3-4 times a day) and take 2 tablespoons in water 4 times a day internally!. This will resolve that issue, but long term health you need to learn about cleansing the body (bowels, liver) from toxins!. Drink a gallon of filtered water a day and stay away from sugar!. More than likely you have Candida and this internal issue can be resolved by cleansing!.

Best of health to you

You could have scabies!. Scabies produces small red bumps and blisters and affects specific areas of the body!. Scabies may involve the webs between the fingers, the wrists and the backs of the elbows, the knees, around the waist and umbilicus, the axillary folds, the areas around the nipples, the sides and backs of the feet, the genital area, and the buttocks!. The bumps (medically termed papules) may contain blood crusts!. It is helpful to know that not every bump is a bug!. In most cases of scabies affecting otherwise healthy adults, there are no more than 10 or 15 live mites even if there are hundreds of bumps and pimples!. Itching is the most common symptom of scabies!. The itch of scabies is insidious and relentless!. The itch is usually worse at night!. For the first weeks, the itch is subtle!. It then gradually becomes more intense until, after a month or two, sleep becomes almost impossible!.

There are topical treatments and oral medications that can cure scabies (in other words, kill the little vermin), but you have to go to a doctor that is willing to accept the fact that you have scabies!. It is often misdiagnosed and people are told that they have misquoto bites!. Go back to the doctor and ask him to please treat you for scabies!. For the time being, instead of Zyrtec, try Benadryl and double the dose!. If it says to take 1 tablet or capsule, take 2!. It will make you sleepy, but it will help with the itching until you can get to the doctor!.
