Generally speaking sharp central chest pain that you can pin point and that gets worse with inspiration and by leaning forward is less likely to be of cradiac nature!. It's more likely to do with the lungs whether it be due to the lying in the lungs rubbing together or it be for other reasons!. Cardiac chest pain/discomfort is described as crushing, tight, heavy that cant be pinpointed with one finger, but can go to other places like the arms, neck, jaw, and back!. As for the thumping of the heart it could be a bit on anxiety due to the location of the pain!.

But with any chest pain/discomfort should always be investigated by your doctor!. If it happens again don't be afraid to call the ambulance as if it were to be your heart the sooner the treatment starts the better the outcome!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The computer is NOT the place to find THAT answer!.!.!.!.!.!. Although your description soynds very familiar to me (angina---severe chest pains), I think you need to get to an ER tonight! If you can withstand the pain, see you doc ASAP!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree! You need to seek medical attention NOW! Don't seek answers to medical problems on the Internet could cause problems for you, even cost you your life!. Do not take the medical advice of these knuckleheads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
