Question: Can you get mouth sores with strep throat!?
Recently, my sister was diagnosed with strep throat!. She had a fever, headache, sore throat, vomiting - everything!. The doctor gave her amoxicillin!. She has now developed sores on the roof of her mouth and she is in A LOT of pain!. Can you get mouth sores from strep throat, or is it caused by the medicine or something totally different!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Amoxicillin, like any medication, has possible adverse reactions!. A less common one is stomatitis (mouth ulcers)!. Suggest to her that she report this to her prescriber!. Stomatitis is treatable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes!.!.!.you can!. When I was 24, I got strep throat which became Rhuematic Fever, if I remember correctly!. It was Christmas 1995 and i had HORRIBLE fever and little white sores in my mouth!. Doc gave me an antibiotic!.!.!.!.I couldn't eat or drink for the most part during that time - due in part to the sores!.!.!.!.!.
