Question about LEEP?!

Question: Question about LEEP!?
I am hoping someone of the medical profession can answer this for me!. I recently had a LEEP done, haven't received my results back yet, but I know I have had low risk abnormal cells incompassing HPV for about the last year and a half!. Went through a couple colposcopies and still have them, so we did the LEEP a few days ago!. Here is my question!. I was curious about how many spots of abnormal cells I had, because I read that the abnormal cells will show up white with the vinegar solution that is applied to the cervix!. My doctor said that she actually could not see any, it is that when she sends in the tissue sample it is coming back as abnormal!. I was really hoping that this procedure would take care of the problem, but if the abnormal areas are not even showing up under the microscope with a colposcopy, how is my doctor supposed to know what abnormal areas to remove!? I don't understand how this will help, except by giving them a bigger sample to look at!. They told me hopefully this will take care of it, but I don't see how if she can't she what to take off!. I have had to go about every 3 months for a year and a half, and it is upsetting to me!. I feel like I am never going to get rid of this, and I am so tired of going for exams and finding out they are still abnormal!. Someone please help with some kind of answer if you can!. I can't stop worrying about this!. ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well I am a Registered Nurse, but I work in the Medical Surgical floors!. So though I am not a Women's Health Nurse, my understanding of the LEEP procedure is that they remove the outermost layer of the cells!.!.!. if you can picture it like peeling off the bark on a tree if the tree were inside out!.!.!. the iner lining of the cervix and the outermost cells are the bark!.!.!. see with the colpoloscopy they are using a really strong microscope and removing a sample to send for biopsy!.!.!. the samples are so small that they do not get the whole entire surface of the cervice!.!.!. whereas with the LEEP using an elelctro looped wire they will sort of scrape away at the entire cervix lining and the electro current will kind of fry the abnormal cells like an outdoor insect light that zaps em dead!.!.!. I hope this made sense for you!.!.!. feel free to ask me any questions
Good Luck and I hope this takes care of your HPV
