Except for HIV or AIDS!? I am writing a story, and I need my character to have a disease or disorder that requires her to take several pills a day!.

There are many!. I take lots of pills for different things!. Some that could require someone take several pills a day would be:
acid reflux
epilepsy
cancer
sinus, ear, or other infection
multiple sclerosis
high blood pressure or high cholesterol
severe asthma or allergies
tuberculosis
