My friend recently had a double mastectomy and she said there was no pain at all!. They found her cancer through a routine yearly mamo visit!.

I know when I sometimes get pain in my breasts my doctor tells me (after they check of course) that it's a calicum build up, and that can cause pain!. However, you should ALWAYS have things like that checked, and NEVER just assume it's nothing!. Just because it was NOTHING for someone else, doesn't mean it's NOTHING for you, and just because someone else didn't have pain with something, doesn't mean you won't have pain!.

Am I trying to scare you!? Yeah, I guess so!.!.!.I want to make sure you don't ignore it!. See a doctor and let the professionals tell you that you are fine, not people on a website!. Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine, but don't you want to hear that from someone that knows for sure!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally, breast cancer does not hurt!.

It could be a breast cyst!. Many women complain of pain associated with cysts!. They're benign (not cancer), so don't panic! They react (by getting bigger) to hormonal changes, so think back to when it first starting hurting - was it around the start of your menstrual cycle!? They also react to caffeine - were you consuming a lot of coffee, tea, soda or chocolate!?

What you really need to do is stop touching it! I know it sounds silly, but the more you touch, the more you think and the more it hurts!. Try to forget about it for a few days and see what happens!.

If it's still bothering you, call your doctor (general or OB/GYN) and make an appointment for a physical exam!. If the pain is focal (meaning you can actually point to one specific area on your breast), you can get an ultrasound of the area!.

Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, pain is not usually a breast cancer symptom!. Breast cancer doesn't usually hurt; mine did, I had a painful lump - but mine was advanced before it was diagnosed!. At your age that would be very unlikely!.

Breast cancer is very, very rare in women as young as you are, it's rare in women under 40 in fact, and 80 per cent of those diagnosed with it are over 40!.

It's unlikely that you have breast cancer, but you should see your doctor because you have unexplained pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is far more likely to be tenderness from hormonal fluctuation, especially if you are taking certain things like birth control!.
Women can get many changes in the breast that aren't cancer!.!.such as cysts!. Cancer is highly unlikely at your age!. I suggest that you call your obygyn and a nurse or your doctor can advise you about whether to come in!.!. they will probably say yes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Many times breast cancer is not painful but I have inflammatory breast cancer and yes my breast was painful!.
It could just be a blocked milk duct but get it checked out the sooner the better!. I thought I only had a cyst and took 10 days of antibiotics and waited longer than I should have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the survivors that I know say that they didn't experience pain or discomfort from the tumors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
