Answers:
Those are called starvation ketones!. You need to eat carbs, and drink some extra water to get rid of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First and foremost, manage your diabetes carefully!. Secondly, drink a lot of water!. This will help to flush the ketones out of your body!. Ketones either mean that your blood glucose is way out of control, or that you are losing weight!. Just because your urine is negative for glucose does not mean your blood glucose is where it should be!. It can take up to 8 hours for a shift in blood glucose to appear in your urine!. Base your treatment on your blood tests, not your urine tests!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can have negative glucose w/ starvation ketones!. Typically, starvation ketones come with a bad cold or stomach bug, or havent been eating, or taking insulin!. Do any of these sound familiar!?

If you take care of ++ ketones right away it'll keep you out of the emergency room!. Drink lots of sugar free liquids, and consult your endo for extra insulin advice: *Don't* take insulin advice here!.

If they do get worse, and they could through no fault of yours; sometimes a stomach bug can get ahead of us, even if you have to go to the emergency room, it doesn't mean you'll have to be admitted!. Often all they need to do is give you a bouls of saline and intense insulin therapy to flush the ketones away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
