Question: Suggest a Fast for High Blood Pressure and Diabetic Person!?
I am currently doing the master cleanse , but my mom wants to do a fast do , is there any high blood pressure and diabetic friendly fast out there!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Fasting and master cleansing are not good for any person especially diabetics!!!
She would have to forego her medications while fasting and that just won't do either!!
If she is diabetic you should not be messing around with your health either!. You could become diabetic from doing this stupid cleansing and doing extreme damage to your digestive tract at the same time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you of course being a diabetic should not fast!. if for some crazy reason you do fast you need to still take insulin and check your sugars often!. with eating you know how much sugar you are putting in your body and you can generally tell the outcome of your blood sugars by what you eat, but when you dont eat your cells in your body are still craving glucose for energy so your brain will start telling your liver to release massive internal sugar stores for energy causing your bloodsugars to possibly skyrocket so be careful, and of course being a diabetic myself i advise against thisWww@Answer-Health@Com
Hi there,
For what it's worth, I'm a newly diagnosed (well, re-diagnosed, 15 years after gestational diabetes) diabetic!. Three weeks ago my fasting blood sugar was 15!.5 mmol!. I negotiated with my doctor the chance to get some control back through diet!. In two weeks, I got my fasting down to 7!.0 and the "peak" during the day was 9!. something!.!.!. Then I had to travel for my work, and through delayed flights and other problems I had not anticipated (hotel food!!) I went about 17 hours without eating!. Fasting blood shot up to 9!.8, and two hours later to 10!.7!.
Seems that fasting is a REALLY bad idea!
PS was really cool to find this forum!. I don't feel quite so alone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely NOT!. This is the one thing you cannot do!. When you don't eat, your liver dumps glucagon into your bloodstream and raises your blood sugar!! You can also get ketosis--which can be dangerous!.
NO FASTING!!
